Are Lab Diamonds real diamonds?
Yes! That's right, lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. Lab-grown and mined diamonds are both made from pure carbon. Lab-grown diamonds contain pure carbon, with atoms forming identical structures during the formation process. The result of the formation process is that lab-grown diamonds are physically, chemically, and optically the same as earth diamonds.

Are lab diamonds environmentally friendly?
Lab-grown diamonds can be produced by using renewable energy such as wind and solar power. Extracting diamonds from the earth is not energy-efficient and adds to greenhouse gas emissions, whereas the energy process in lab-grown diamond laboratories' is more efficient and controlled. Unlike extracting earth diamonds, lab-grown diamonds do not contribute to soil erosion, deforestation, surface and groundwater pollution, or air emissions.
Earth diamonds can be blood diamonds sourced in unsafe conditions or conflict zones, funded to support war zones, or conflict created to gain control of the natural diamond resources in some countries, and inhumane practices to obtain natural diamonds through human abuse and exploitation. It is harder to source the history of natural diamonds, making it very difficult to ensure your natural diamond is, in fact, ethical and conflict-free.
Do we sell natural diamonds?
Sorry, no. Scintilla Diamonds is committed to helping the planet and humanity as much as we can, so we only offer ethical diamonds. That way, we are selling diamonds that leave a much smaller carbon footprint, and the sourcing of our diamonds does not involve human exploitation.
